Adding Layers of Realism to Weapon Defense

Often times, in training, students and instructors tend to approach weapons defense situations on a very technical basis. Most of the time, they are missing a few layers of realism to the drill. Now, when introducing new techniques to students, this makes sense. However, once the foundation is laid, it is important to approach training in a realistic manner to instill important lessons and concepts. Real life fights don’t often look like self defense techniques/classes.
