Voluntary Exposure to Fear

There’s plenty of things in life that may give us anxiety.

Some may flat out scare us.

To build comfort in those areas, and in turn, resilience into our lives, we get to choose to face those areas of our lives head on.

The act of voluntarily confronting those is powerful.

It’s taking control.

We make the choice to face it, instead of it choosing to disrupt us.

We get to set the time, the place, the boundaries.

Those boundaries can be small at first, and grow.

Dip a foot in, then return to safety.

Continue, step by step, until we are comfortable submerging ourselves in it.

The power is in the choice.
