The Brain Dump

We all know that sleep is crucial to progress, health, and happiness.

When we are overwhelmed by work, family, life, etc. It can negatively impact our sleep.

We can often find ourselves laying in bed with a thousand thoughts running rampant in our brains.

A great edition to the bedtime routine is set aside 10-15 minutes before going to bed to write out anything and everything that comes across the mind.

Things we intend to do, random thoughts/ideas that popped in our head, negative thoughts from the day, stories we’re spinning about people or events in our life.

Get it all out of the head and onto paper.

A literal brain dump.

By simply taking the time to pull the thoughts out and onto paper, it can help ease the mind, declutter, and improve our sleep.

This same exercise also works great if you find yourself waking up randomly in the middle of the night and unable to fall back to sleep.

Instead of staring at the ceiling for an hour, get up, grab the journal, and brain dump.

It’s truly incredible how effective this simple exercise can be, and when done consistently over time, it can make a massive impact in our lives.

Go forth and be awesome!  😎
