Truer words have never been said… or at least in my experience.
I have never met a person that hasn’t been helped along the way, be it directly or indirectly, by numerous people. The most successful of those people and the ones living the most rewarding lives, are the ones that not only give thanks and acknowledgment to those that helped them, but try to return that help. They are the ones that pay it forward and help others and expect nothing in return.
Those are the truly successful people.
I have been blessed to have been assisted along the way by countless people. From mentors, to instructors, to students, to training partners, to business partners, to friends, and yes just as blessed by the people that hurt me, or slighted me, or talked poorly about me. In some cases they may have been right, in many I believe they were wrong, but either way, those experiences have made me who I am.
My life story. My videos. My book. My teaching. It isn’t mine alone. It is a culmination of so many people.
Whether I read an article, watched a video, had off or a beer with them, trained with them, taught them, learned from them, read their book, listened to their podcast, ran into them in public… etc etc etc…
