Put It On Display

Doing things we’re new to can be intimidating.

Doing things that we have trouble with, can be frustrating.

Challenging ourselves at things we are good at, in a way that can expose a weakness, can be scary.

We often avoid these circumstances to some degree.

We choose short term comfort and satisfaction over long term growth or success.

When we allow ourselves to be open to feedback, and embrace challenges, we give ourselves the highest potential for growth.

As a coach in self defense, it’s important to continually put ourselves in positions to be challenged.

To try new things, and be open to new experiences.

To face familiar things, in a way that pushes us physically and emotionally to grow.

In this day and age, facing those challenges for others to see is a powerful skill.

There’s so much benefit personally, emotionally, and professionally to that type of honesty, and vulnerability.

Go forth, and put it all out there! 😎
